The Director of Brand at On defines the long-range vision for marketing within one of our core business pillarsâPAD (lifestyle) or Performance. They collaborate with product vertical leads and commercial teams to develop and execute strategies that enhance credibility, connection, and action with our communities.
Specifically, for the Director of Brand, Performance (sports), the focus is on how we approach our performance sports verticalsâRunning, Outdoor, and Tennis. The role involves developing go-to-market strategies to boost awareness, cultural relevance, credibility, and sales; mapping long-term growth plans in partnership with product, merchandising, and sales teams; and linking work across verticals to maximize impact.
Your Mission
- Set the Vision: Define a clear 3-year plan aligning product, marketing, and commercial interests, securing organizational buy-in from senior leadership and regional teams.
- Drive Marketing Excellence: Act as the voice of the brand, evaluating ideas, collaborating with creative and strategy teams, and representing marketing initiatives to other organizational units for buy-in.
- Report to Evolve: Use measurement and insights to identify growth opportunities, adapt strategies rapidly, and create value across marketing, commercial, and product teams.
Your Story
We seek a collaborative, research-driven, and storytelling-oriented individual who excels at building relationships, leading teams, and communicating a compelling vision. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in brand marketing within sportswear or related industries, with at least 12+ years of experience and 5+ years in managerial roles, including long-term strategic planning and direct work with product teams.
Qualifications include a relevant degree or equivalent experience, a strong understanding of the sportswear market, innovative thinking, a growth mindset, and excellent presentation skills. Passion for sports, consumer insights, and youth culture is essential.

You will be part of the brand strategy team at On, leading the performance sports segment within marketing. You will oversee a team of two heads of brands focusing on running and outdoor, bringing entrepreneurial spirit and deep category knowledge to the role.
