The Global Head of Apparel Product Management will be responsible for developing and scaling On’s overall apparel product vision. This role involves defining the next generation of our apparel strategy, inspiring a fast-growing, ambitious team to create extraordinary products, and establishing our brand as an innovative leader in apparel. The position aims to create the DNA and appeal of our apparel pieces to be preferred over competitors by demanding consumers in both performance running and luxury sportswear markets.
By partnering with key internal stakeholders in Design, Merchandising, Development, GTM, and Sales, this role will be pivotal in building the right product collections and strategy, while aligning them with brand values and stories to enhance consumer experience and perception across verticals.
Your Mission
- Structure and organize On’s apparel product offering across verticals to improve consumer perception, performance, quality, relevance, and range decisions.
- Identify and develop product opportunities, collaborating with product leadership and internal teams to realize these across ranges.
- Manage key collaborations to establish On as an authentic apparel brand.
- Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to craft stories, messaging, campaigns, and drop calendars.
- Partner with Design, Development, and Sourcing Operations to ensure timely delivery of products meeting standards.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, GTM, Key Account Managers, and DTC teams for a smooth go-to-market process, ensuring products reach consumers at the right time and price.
- Set team expectations for milestones and lead preparations for internal and external presentations.
- Build, nurture, and inspire a diverse team of product managers through coaching, career development, and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Develop a structured range of collections aligned with company priorities, managing the product strategy from briefing to marketing and sales handover.
- Monitor demand, supply, strategic efficiency, and margins.
Your Story
- Minimum of 9+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced product company, with a successful track record in product management, creation, merchandising, go-to-market, or sales.
- Experience in apparel product management combining fashion and performance/sports elements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience using data to provide insights and improve processes.
- Exceptional communication skills to lead through influence and articulate strategy to stakeholders.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience, inspiring teams to support On’s apparel vision.
- Proven expertise in the competitive sportswear landscape and consumer trends, with the ability to challenge norms and innovate.
- Experience managing PLM and other product systems.
- Experience with consumer insights efforts.
