Overview
In this role, you will create high-quality prototypes, muslins, and mockups for athletic and ready-to-wear apparel, partnering with pattern engineers, product development, and designers. You will select fabrics, trims, and sewing methods to achieve performance and finish, while resolving construction challenges. You’ll support smooth prototype-to-production transitions and uphold strict quality standards. You will stay current with industry trends and advanced sewing techniques to inform development. This position offers hands-on impact in turning concepts into market-ready products within a collaborative engineering-driven team.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Construct prototypes from technical specs, patterns, and alternative methods with cross-functional teams
- Determine optimal fabrics, trims, and sewing techniques for high-performance apparel
- Identify and resolve construction challenges proactively
- Support prototype-to-production transitions with high quality and efficiency
- Ensure samples meet stitching, durability, and finish standards
- Maintain organized workspace and efficient workflow

- 8+ years as a Sample Maker or similar role in apparel manufacturing
- Proficiency in handling and sewing complex fabrications (stretch and non-stretch)
- Advanced experience with athletic and ready-to-wear garments
- Understanding of garment construction and pattern interpretation
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines (single-needle, overlock, coverstitch)
- Ability to read patterns, spec sheets, and technical sketches
