Senior Specialist - Group Accounting CAPEX in Zürich

Overview

In this role you drive the financial integrity of global CAPEX across the organization, acting as the financial architect for asset capitalization, depreciation, and IFRS 16 lease accounting. You will bridge controlling, retail, and office expansion to ensure scalable, compliant processes and accurate reporting. You’ll lead modernization of asset management and automation of financial workflows within a fast-growth, cross-functional team. This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity to shape how we invest in our global footprint.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Own lifecycle of fixed assets, from initial recognition to depreciation and impairment testing
• Lead IFRS 16 accounting for global lease portfolio, including ROU assets and lease liabilities
• Oversee daily CAPEX operations like additions, disposals, and re-measurements
• Serve as primary contact for CAPEX-related requests, aligning global standards with local needs
• Oversee outsourced accounting provider, ensuring quality and global standards
• Ensure accurate disclosures in consolidated IFRS financial statements and monitor SOX controls
• Drive process innovation and automation using digital tools
• Create and maintain process documentation and user guidance

Zentrale Anforderungen

• 4+ years in a large-scale or international corporate environment with IFRS focus (IAS 16, IFRS 16)
• Strong experience in CAPEX accounting and asset lifecycle management
• Comfort with complex lease contracts and diverse global asset classes
• Excellent communication across a matrix organization
• Power user of MS Excel and Google Workspace; Dynamics 365 is a plus
