In this role, you will initially focus heavily on hands-on quality control, safeguarding our factory output, before evolving to integrate cutting-edge AI tools and transitioning into a broader quality assurance scope.

Your mission

• Safeguard Production Output (approx. 80% of current focus): Act as the ultimate gatekeeper for quality, ensuring that 100% of the products leaving both the factory and the warehouse comply with our premium standards and deliver the "wow" factor to our customers.
• Execute Critical Inspections: Conduct rigorous checks of inbound Bottom Units (BU) and outbound production (A and B grades) at the end of the factory line, and perform comprehensive AQL-based quality checks at the warehouse (Welti).
• SOP Implementation: Develop, write, and uphold the best Standard Operating Procedures (QC/QA SOPs) for conducting quality checks, while ensuring the factory team adheres to pre-QC processes.
• Discrepancy Investigation & Alignment: Investigate any grading discrepancies between your findings and the factory team's output. Utilize your technical expertise to train factory personnel to meet On's standards, ensuring alignment in the production tracking tools.
• Commercialization Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold Quality Control Assessment (QCA) and commercialization standards, participating actively in the commercialization process to deeply understand product details and specifications.
• Future AI Integration (Role Evolution): Support the upcoming introduction of AI in quality controls. You will play a key role in training these systems and guiding the ultimate transition of your responsibilities from daily QC execution to a broader Quality Assurance (QA) strategy.

Your story

• 2+ years of experience in quality control and assurance, ideally within the premium footwear or sporting goods industry.
• Proven ability to author and implement Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong hands-on experience with AQL inspections, measurement devices, and defect tracking.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze quality data, and train external/factory teams to align with brand standards.
• High adaptability with a strong interest in technology; excited by the prospect of training and integrating AI tools into traditional quality processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently uphold standards and work effectively in cross-functional teams, as well as with factory management.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments and passionate about innovation in quality assurance.
• You will work within our Factory in Zurich.
