What you'll do
- Lead the deployment and configuration of the Atom Engine simulation platform across diverse military training facilities, adapting installations to meet specific site requirements and security protocols
- Manage platform implementations within classified environments and air-gapped network architectures where standard connectivity solutions are unavailable
- Develop and extend platform capabilities by building new sensors, operational scenarios, and feature enhancements using the internal development toolkit and scripting languages
- Spend significant time embedded with military customers at their locations, gathering direct feedback on platform performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Convert operational requirements and user feedback into clearly defined engineering priorities that can be addressed by the broader development team
- Handle integration work connecting the Atom Engine platform with partner systems through API development, network configuration, and infrastructure dependency management
- Provide real-time technical troubleshooting and problem resolution during high-visibility military exercises where system reliability is mission critical
- Contribute directly to the engineering backlog by writing production-ready code in multiple languages during periods between active customer deployments
- Develop comprehensive documentation covering deployment procedures, configuration options, and troubleshooting guides to improve operational consistency
- Establish and refine repeatable deployment processes that reduce implementation time and increase reliability across different customer environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and military affairs to ensure alignment between customer needs and product direction
- Present technical demonstrations and training sessions to groups of military personnel, explaining platform capabilities and best practices for operational use
Requirements
- Minimum of three years professional experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, production-quality code in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Python, or GDScript
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience diagnosing and resolving issues in complex software systems, networking environments, and distributed application architectures
- Excellent communication abilities with proven success explaining technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical background
- Currently hold an active TOP SECRET security clearance with no restrictions that would prevent access to classified information or facilities
- Previous military service experience that provides understanding of defense operations, terminology, and organizational culture
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations for approximately fifty percent of working time, including extended stays at training facilities

- Experience with the Godot game engine or similar real-time simulation platforms
