What we expect from you

• Experience working as a front-end developer (HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React), ideally featuring data intensive applications and advanced analytics tools
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Storybook, Cypress)
• Ability to leverage modern AI-assisted development tools
• Interest in being challenged by developing a scalable web app with strong UX focus to deliver process insights to our customers based on big data
• Enthusiasm for the possibilities of digitalization and willingness to familiarize yourself with a SaaS B2B product for manufacturing processes
• High levels of organizational skills, ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to explain complex topics
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Python (pandas, polars, FastAPI) is a big plus but not required
• If you choose to work remotely (Berlin): Residence in Berlin and willingness to travel to Cologne (by train) from time to time for in-person workshops or team events

What you will do

Our development team works in a self-managed and self-organized manner according to agile and DevOps principles and practices. You will be working on developing the frontend of our SaaS product. In this role, you will be realizing frontend features as part of the development team and in close collaboration with product management and UX/UI Design. Together with the development team you will:

• Develop our frontend web application, e.g. creating analysis workflows for our customers based on complex production data, developing the architecture of the application, developing highly optimized visualizations that render large amounts of data, writing tests and enhancing our testing capabilities
• Maintain and extend frontend codebase, avoiding technical debt and adhering to security best practices
• Actively participate in the agile development process and continuously improve frontend development practices
• Provide feedback on new features and actively contribute towards providing a great UI/UX to enterprise manufacturing companies
• Participate in knowledge transfer across the team
