That’s Ontinue. /ph3Role Overview /h3pWe’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help us scale quality across a fast-moving engineering team. This role is about building the automation, processes, and release confidence that keep pace with a team already working with AI-assisted development. You’ll support a medium-sized team on your own, so independence, organization, and the ability to create scalable ways of working are essential. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign and implement automated tests for frontend, backend, and API flows /liliUse Playwright as a core testing platform, with tests written in TypeScript or C# depending on the best fit /liliTest microservices-based systems with an understanding of dependencies, release sequencing, and service interactions /liliCoordinate release readiness across the team, helping identify what needs to be tested first and what can go out together /liliTest Azure-based and event-driven workflows, including message-based scenarios such as Service Bus topics and related integrations /liliCombine automation with manual and exploratory testing where it adds the most value /liliImprove the way manual testing is enabled so it remains efficient and sustainable as the team grows /liliCollaborate closely with developers, the engineering manager, and other stakeholders to build a practical quality process /liliUse AI-assisted tools to speed up test creation, maintenance, triage, and analysis /liliHelp ensure quality scales with the speed of the team instead of becoming a bottleneck /li /ulh3Required Experience Skills /h3h3Required /h3ulliAt least 4 years of professional experience in QA, test automation, software engineering, or a closely related field /liliStrong experience with test automation, ideally across both frontend and API testing /liliExperience with Playwright or a similar modern automation framework /liliGood working knowledge of TypeScript, C#, or another language used for automation /liliPractical understanding of release coordination in microservices-based systems /liliExperience testing APIs and backend workflows /liliFamiliarity with Azure or other cloud-based environments /liliA practical, organized approach to working independently and structuring your own process /liliCurious, adaptable, and open to using AI tools to work more efficiently /liliStrong communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers and stakeholders /liliA mindset that balances quality, speed, and pragmatism /li /ulh3Preferred /h3ulliExperience building or improving QA processes for a growing team /liliExperience with event-driven or message-based systems /liliExperience with infrastructure or environment concepts that help with reliable testing /liliFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests fit into them /liliExperience using AI tools to support testing, analysis, or maintenance /liliExperience working in a product-oriented, fast-moving engineering environment /liliExperience with security-related or data-sensitive systems /li /ulh3What We Offer /h3pWe have been recognized as a top place to work!
