Senior Full Stack Engineer

Tasks

Your mission

We are hiring an experienced Senior Full Stack engineer to join our team and help build and scale our data-centric platform. In this role, you will work closely on the following topics:

Platform Design, Engineering Excellence & Scalability

• Collaborate in the development of the OpenSC platform, working on distributed backend systems that support high-volume data processing.
• Design and build secure, reliable, and user-friendly frontend features to enhance user experience, working closely with our product team.
• Ensure quality and operational stability by writing clean, well-tested code, and implementing robust monitoring, logging, and fault tolerance.
• Contribute to developing a scalable architecture by applying industry best practices, ensuring high availability and performance optimization.
• Promote agile practices and software best practices to support iterative product development.
• Participate in brainstorming and ideation, rapidly building Proofs of Concepts (POCs) in a lean manner to shape early-stage products.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure smooth integration between services and user interfaces.

• A generalist mindset, willing to learn across multiple tech stacks and systems.
• Solid backend and frontend experience, fluency in Python, and understanding of frontend technologies (preferably ReactJS).
• Experience designing scalable and reliable APIs and backend systems.
• Hands-on web application development experience.
• Ability to balance user needs with business goals.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is beneficial.
• Experience in SaaS environments, especially B2B SaaS, is a plus.
• Experience working with data products and data-centric companies is advantageous.
• This position is remote; candidates must be based in Europe.
• Our company leverages AWS cloud services (EKS, RDS, S3, etc.) and is transitioning to a Python-first tech stack, with APIs built with Spring Boot (Kotlin), data pipelines orchestrated by Dagster, data stored in S3 and Postgres, and data applications in Plotly Dash.
