Senior Software Engineer

Senior SWE | €75,000 – €85,000 + Benefits | Germany (100% Remote)

Are you ready to make an impact? As OPIA Associates has partnered with one of Germany\’s leading B2B platforms for sustainable mobility solutions, who is seeking 6x Senior Software Engineers to support their ongoing transformation!

Following a successful 2024, this organisation is undergoing rapid growth & expansion. You will be key in supporting a critical migration from PHP to Kotlin Microservices on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain modern software solutions in a service-oriented architecture.
• Actively shape the architecture, API landscape & technical standards to develop scalable solutions.
• Support the migration of legacy PHP codebases to Kotlin Microservices on AWS.
• Ensure clean code & testability, conduct code reviews & promote best practices within the team.
• Work closely with stakeholders such as CTO, Tech Lead, Product Owner, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Kotlin/Java.
• Deep understanding of modern architectural design and domain-driven design.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Problem solver who can balance technical excellence with business requirements.
