Oppenheim Architecture Basel is located in the inspiring Dreispitz area in Basel – the perfect place for creative minds. In our modern, architecturally impressive office in the Helsinki Tower, you’ll find plenty of space for your ideas. Here, you’ll become part of a unique team of around 35 colleagues from over 20 nations. With offices in Basel, Miami, and Tirana, we work as a multicultural team, sharing our creative ideas in English and connecting on a global scale. Together, we realize exciting projects in Switzerland, the Mediterranean, Middle East, and many other fascinating locations across Europe and beyond.
We are looking for a talented Architect with 5+ years of experience and a strong background in planning, coordination, and execution of hospitality projects, including hotels, wellness centers, and branded residences. You thrive in multidisciplinary environments, collaborating closely with consultants & specialists. With a solid understanding of structural design, MEP, fire safety, landscape and interior design, you are confident in coordinating these disciplines to deliver a functional, well-integrated and unique design that meets the high expectations of all stakeholders.
Your solid experience, paired with proficiency in ArchiCAD and Rhino, enables you to deliver projects of exceptional quality. A strong design sensibility and a genuine passion for architecture and hospitality complete your profile.
What you'll be doing:
- Shape ideas into built reality, from the first sketch to detailed construction drawings
- Drive the creative process and lead the translation of concepts into precise architectural documentation
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients to turn visionary designs into tangible outcomes
- Explore sites, study context, and uncover the potential that informs meaningful architecture
- Contribute to client presentations and design discussions with clarity, confidence, and creativity
- Ensure every drawing, detail, and specification meets the highest standards of design and quality
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid track record in the planning and coordination of hospitality developments with exposure to hotel brands and operators
- A strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Rhino
- Exceptional design sensibility and attention to detail.
- A keen eye for interior design..
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
- Strong visual storytelling and graphic presentation skills.
- To ensure Swiss hiring regulations: EU/ EFTA nationality is mandatory
