As a Modeling Consultant (m/f/x), you will solve specific optimization problems of our customers. You are an expert in our OPTANO Analytics products and will apply them together with our customers. In addition, you will support our project teams in the development of customer-specific adaptations based on your acquired practical knowledge and expertise in mathematical optimization.

You will have a wide range of tasks which cover the entire development project:

• Development of requirements, objectives, and procedures in close cooperation with the customer
• Application of mathematical optimization models and possible solution methods from the customer\’s requirements
• Expert for the OPTANO Analytics products
• Support our sales and marketing teams with your expertise, e.g., by developing concepts

You will have the following qualifications:

While we consider soft skills and good teamwork to be indispensable, a few specialist skills are necessary to work for us as a Modeling Consultant (m/f/x):

• A very good university/college degree, ideally three years of professional experience in the field of Operations Research/mathematical modeling or similar (e.g., university or industry-funded PhD)
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with clients
• The ability to quickly adapt to new situations
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#)
• Fluent in German and English

As a Modeling Consultant (m/f/d), it is occasionally necessary to visit customers on-site. We try to keep travel activities for our team to a minimum – also to make work and family life compatible. Over the course of the year, an average of three working days per month with customers is realistic for us.

This is a permanent full-time position and is available with immediate effect. However, we are flexible and would be willing to consider part-time models and a later starting date if you are unable to assume the position immediately.
