As Lead Accountant, you will take ownership of financial reporting, statutory closing processes, and controls for the main Swiss manufacturing entity while supporting additional Swiss legal entities. You will act as a technical accounting expert, drive the further development of financial processes and internal controls, and play a key role in the company's transition towards international accounting standards.Working closely with operational and finance stakeholders, you will contribute to strengthening the finance function through process optimization, system improvements, and automation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings under Swiss Code of Obligations (Swiss CO)Prepare consolidation reporting for Swiss entities and support group reporting requirementsSupport the transition to IFRS or US GAAP and own related reporting and reconciliation activitiesManage relationships with external auditors and coordinate statutory auditsCoordinate VAT filings and tax closing activities with external advisorsDevelop, maintain and continuously improve the Internal Control System (ICS), including risk-control matrices, process documentation and key controlsOwn accounting policies, reporting standards and finance governance documentationDrive improvements within the Record-to-Report process and enhance ERP-supported finance processesLead finance automation initiatives in collaboration with ERP partners and business stakeholdersImprove closing efficiency, reporting quality and finance KPIsProvide technical guidance and coaching to accounting colleagues across locationsLead and deliver finance transformation and process improvement projectsCandidate ProfileSwiss Federal Diploma in Finance Accounting8+ years of experience in financial accounting within industrial, manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech or similar environmentsStrong expertise in Swiss CO reporting and practical IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledgeProven experience implementing and maintaining Internal Control Systems (ICS)Experience driving ERP process improvements and finance automation initiativesStrong Excel skills; Power Query and Power BI considered advantageousFluent German and very good EnglishAbility to influence stakeholders and drive change without direct authorityHands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building scalable processes and structures #J-18808-Ljbffr
