Senior Full Stack Engineer, Scheduling

Optibus is looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Scheduling R&D team in the challenge of moving the world smarter and more efficiently. We are looking for an experienced professional with superb interpersonal skills, a software engineering background, and the production experience of building web apps at scale.

As a Developer on the Scheduling Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the user-experience and developer experience of our company’s products and services by delivering sophisticated cross-module features and architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Working closely with the team lead, product manager and UX/UI designer in a cross-functional team currently consisting of 6 developers and 2 QA engineers, as well as closely collaborating with other teams in the R&D department across the organization.
2. Leading and being involved in key decisions regarding architecture, roadmap, technology and UX.
3. Taking part in all aspects of the development cycle.
4. Helping shape the R&D department’s technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes.
5. Mentoring and coaching other team members.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of full-stack development.
2. Experience with client-side development frameworks (such as React or Angular).
3. Experience with server-side development (preferably Node.JS and/or Python).
4. Deep understanding of web application architecture.
5. Experience with NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB).
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Eagerness to learn, desire to mentor other team members.
8. Fluent written and verbal English skills.

It will be great if you have:

1. Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
2. Experience with Jenkins.
3. Experience with Cypress testing framework.
4. Experience with Container Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
5. Experience with AWS tools such as Elasticsearch, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda or similar alternative solutions.
6. Experience in the mobility ecosystem.
