Optomechanical Engineer in Weilburg

We are looking for an experienced Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering team working on advanced optical and high-precision technologies for the semiconductor industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine mechanical design, simulation, hands-on prototyping, and product development in a highly technical environment.

• Design and develop high-precision opto-mechanical assemblies for advanced optical systems.
• Perform tolerance analyses, thermal expansion studies, and Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations.
• Develop 3D CAD models, detailed technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Build, align, test, and troubleshoot prototypes in laboratory environments.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize technical solutions, manufacturing costs, and lead times.
• Participate in design reviews, safety testing, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with optics, electronics, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in opto-mechanical design and precision mechanical assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis, thermal behavior, and FEM simulations.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across technical disciplines.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment, photonics, or advanced optical systems is an advantage.
