HCM Functional Domain Expert

We are looking for an experienced SaaS functional domain specialist to join our CSS team in Germany. The domain expert will be responsible for providing consultancy and advisory services to our strategic customers, translating ideas and concepts into implementable, supportable designs. You will also have experience in providing technical solutions aligned with Oracle standards, applying and providing the industry’s best practices in customer engagements. This role gives you an opportunity to apply your domain knowledge, skills, and experience to work in the Customer Success Services (CSS) team with Oracle SaaS/PaaS products. You will also have experience in maintaining and supporting customers’ eBusiness Suite applications and Fusion SaaS, either on-site or remotely, implementing and running PaaS solutions such as Oracle Integration Cloud/SOA and integration with Oracle SaaS products. The role also involves developing, integrating, and implementing applications components, including front-end development, internal database integration, and OTBI Reports. You will play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of Oracle Cloud applications. The Human Capital domain specialist ensures solution architecture feasibility and mitigates risk by leveraging a network of subject matter experts in various domains. The HCM Architect/domain specialist is also capable of proposing customer roadmaps to realize the proposed solution.

Primary Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle applications, SaaS, and PaaS solutions, with at least 6+ years in SaaS implementation. Proven industry experience in HCM solutions and various HCM products at a consultancy or customer site.
• You must be a self-starter and able to work independently and within teams.
• You possess detailed functional knowledge of Oracle SaaS (eBusiness Suite is a plus), within at least one industry.
• You should have the ability to collaborate with and connect to client business teams independently.
• You should be able to analyze solution approaches, estimations, standard methodologies, project risks, and provide recommendations.
• You should be able to understand client requirements and map them to “off-the-shelf” products or product features to decide whether they would be more suitable than building a new system from scratch.
• You should be able to participate in and lead, when needed, project meetings and product-walkthrough workshops with customers.
• You possess excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications.
• You possess excellent knowledge of at least one industry’s terminologies, concepts, and processes.
• You possess good communication and documentation skills in English and German.
• Experience in implementation and/or support of Oracle SaaS.
• Should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in business or an equivalent field.
• You should be willing to work offshore as well as travel to client locations for short, medium, or long duration assignments.
• Should be willing to take up Oracle SaaS certifications in functional areas as and when required.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and exciting environment.
• Solid understanding of more than one business industry.
• Knowledge of FMW/PaaS development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead and participate as a Functional Leader/Advisor in different service activity streams such as Gap Analysis and Solution Design, POCs, demonstration requirements gathering, business analysis, project delivery, and quality assurance with other Oracle teams at client locations or offshore teams for various activities.
• Document and review Requirement Specifications Documents.
• Analyze business requirements, participate in functional design, and document/review Functional Specification Documents.
• Travel as required to client locations onsite (within and outside EMEA) as needed for implementations and to participate in product walkthroughs and POC workshops.
• During implementations, work with all onsite collaborators and client personnel to ensure project success.
• Use defined standards, tools, and processes to achieve work that meets the quality expectations of Oracle and the client.
• Document all work in accordance with agreed standards and processes applicable to Oracle and the client.
• Adhere to the defined Change Control Process of Oracle and the client. Align with Oracle/client audit and compliance requirements.
• Perform accurate handover and knowledge transfer at the end of each assignment.
• Provide timely status reporting to your supervisor.
