We are looking for an Expert Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake to design, build and optimize a modern cloud data platform. You will collaborate with data architects, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and well-governed data products. Your key areas of responsibility as Data Engineer - Snowflake: Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows in Snowflake. Build efficient and reusable data models for analytics and reporting. Integrate structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources. Optimize Snowflake queries, storage, compute resources, performance and costs. Implement automated data quality controls and monitoring. Ensure data security, governance, lineage and compliance. Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment automation. Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues. Define engineering standards, conduct code reviews and mentor other data engineers. Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. As an ideal candidate you have: Extensive experience in data engineering and modern data platform development. Advanced hands-on expertise with Snowflake including: Advanced SQL and data modeling Performance tuning and query optimization Virtual warehouses, stages, streams, tasks and Snowpipe Role-based access control and security Cost monitoring and optimization Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures and data modeling principles. Proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with orchestration and data integration tools. Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD. Good knowledge of data quality, observability, governance and security. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be: Previous experience in private banking, wealth management, energy or commodity trading, with an understanding of the associated business processes, data domains and regulatory requirements. Hands-on experience with dbt, including model development, incremental models, snapshots, macros, testing, documentation and CI/CD integration. Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 and metadata-driven automation patterns including the generation and loading of hubs, links, satellites and business vault models. Experience with AWS services such as S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, EventBridge and CloudWatch. Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform. Snowflake, dbt or AWS certifications.
