Your key areas of responsibility as IT Operations Engineer:
As our new IT Operations Engineer, you will primarily ensure the smooth operation of complex systems in the highly available customer infrastructure within the Managed Service team. In addition to comprehensive support for various platforms and virtual workplaces, your responsibilities also include participating in diverse IT projects.
You will work in a small, experienced team with direct interfaces to our IT architects, consultants, and the customer’s key contacts. You are capable of handling a wide range of tasks. Proactivity and perseverance in problem-solving are your strengths. You are open to technological innovations.
You embody internal customer orientation, creatively seeking the best solution for your tasks with the available resources. As an independent employee in an international environment, initiative, teamwork, and honesty are highly valued. Asking questions, learning, and anticipating are not challenges for you, and you never lose sight of the goal of delivering sustainable results.
As an ideal candidate you have:
- Completed education as an IT specialist or comparable training, or several years of experience in IT operations.
- Profound technological knowledge in virtualization (VMware, VMware Horizon, Citrix), networking, storage, Linux, and Windows system administration.
- Experience with the installation and operation of Microsoft, Citrix, or VMware.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting virtual infrastructures.
- Up-to-date knowledge in access, virtualization, or software distribution technologies.
- Confidence in working with monitoring tools for cloud and applications.
- Strong analytical thinking and implementation of results.
- A team player, structured work approach, resilience, and commitment.
- Good communication skills and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written).
