Overview
As Data Governance Consultant at Orange Business, you design and implement governance frameworks aligned with business needs and work alongside CDOs and stakeholders. You will deploy governance tools (data catalogs, MDM, data quality platforms) and ensure governance is embedded in operations. You promote a data-driven culture and provide training and documentation to foster adoption. This role blends strategy with hands-on delivery to advance data as a trusted business asset.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design and implement data governance frameworks, policies and processes aligned with business needs
- Define data ownership models, steward responsibilities, and data lifecycle rules with business and IT
- Deploy and configure governance tools (data catalogs like Collibra/Alation, MDM, data quality platforms) and embed them in operations
- Perform hands-on data profiling, quality checks, and issue resolution with technical teams
- Support evaluation and selection of data management platforms and participate in implementation and change management
- Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, nFADP) through governance practices and documentation
- Promote data-driven culture via training, internal documentation, and governance adoption efforts
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and regulatory evolutions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor or Master degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in data governance or data management, in consulting or complex organizations
- Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms (Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Ataccama)
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, nFADP)
- Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
- Strategic mindset with ability to execute operational tasks
- Data governance or data management certification (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a strong plus
