Your Prospective Job:

Our renowned client in the innovative aerospace industry is looking for you as a Layout Design Engineer (m/f/d) for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) at the location Oberpfaffenhofen.

Your Responsibilities:

• Creation of PCB layouts based on layout specifications provided by circuit designers
• Definition, maintenance and application of layout design rules based on current IPC or ECSS standards
• Creation and revision of circuit schematics in collaboration with developers
• Preparation of manufacturing documentation (drawings, bills of materials, production data, etc.).
• Definition and maintenance of footprint libraries and associated master data in accordance with OHB internal design guidelines and manufacturing processes
• Review of externally created layouts and collaboration with external service providers for PCB layout design
• Signal integrity simulations with HyperLynx

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in Electrical Engineerin, Microsystems Engineering or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in the design of complex PCB layouts using Siemens PADS professional or Xpedition
• Professional experience with complex high-speed, HDI, power electronic, sensitive analog digital mixed signal, RF up to several GHz, and high voltage designs
• Experience in routing of differential pairs, delay matching of high-speed busses, usage of ground and power planes
• Experience in PCB layout design for space applications according to ECSS‑Q‑ST‑70‑12 is a plus
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity and EMC related topics as well as of return paths for signals with fast rise and fall times
• User skills in signal integrity analysis software (e.g., HyperLynx) and programming with Python, C/C++ or Tcl is advantageous
• Fluent German and English skills spoken and written
