Overview
As a Data Engineer on ORTEC’s BI & Analytics team, you will help build and optimize a state-of-the-art platform on Microsoft Fabric to unlock insights and enable data-driven decisions. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, quality, and governance across systems. You stay ahead of technology trends, researching new analytics features and sharing knowledge within the team. This role combines hands-on data engineering with a focus on scalable, secure data architectures that support business insights.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design, build, test, and optimize data pipelines and data integration across sources
- Contribute to robust data architecture using Microsoft Fabric
- Ensure data availability, quality, governance, security, and performance
- Research and evaluate new analytics technologies; share learnings with the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile/scrum environment
- Support data-driven decision making for multiple business domains
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 4+ years of experience in data integration, ETL, and database management in medium/large organizations
- Strong SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure platform or Power BI; familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure ML
- Programming skills in DAX, Python, and Scala or willingness to learn
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps) and version control
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field
- Currently based in the Netherlands with fluent English; basic Dutch is a plus
