Set sail as 3rd Officer on a modern car carrier trading worldwide. Be part of OSM Thome’s deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations and day-to-day vessel routines.
Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watch as OOW and ensure safe passage
- Assist with voyage planning, position fixing and reporting
- Support cargo and ballast operations under Chief/2nd Officer guidance
- Carry out safety rounds, inspections and maintenance duties
- Take active part in drills, emergency response and safety routines
- Maintain accurate logs, checklists and deck documentation
Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Officer / OOW Deck license, compliant with STCW
- Previous experience on car carriers or similar vessel types preferred
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates
- Valid seafarer medical certificate, passport and COC endorsements as required
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a strong safety and compliance mindset
