We're looking for a hands-on engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of biomethane upgrading plants across Germany.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that is helping drive the transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy.
You'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a range of industrial equipment while providing first-class technical support to customers across the region.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and corrective maintenance on biomethane upgrading plants.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process‑related faults.
- Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, frequency drives, and other field devices.
- Service and maintain compressors, pumps, valves, motors, and associated plant equipment.
- Support plant commissioning, upgrades, and performance optimisation projects.
- Prepare digital service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Plan and organise spare parts and materials for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Work closely with customers, the Service Area Manager, and technical support teams to deliver outstanding service.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
About You
- A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Commissioning Engineer, or similar.
- A strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience fault finding on industrial equipment and process plants.
- Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, process control systems, sensors, actuators, and frequency converters (VFDs).
- Experience working independently in a customer‑facing field service role.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
