The role
Our client is a fast-growing developer and full-service provider of integrated commercial energy solutions, specialising in large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for industrial and commercial customers. The business delivers end-to-end projects, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction and optimisation.
Following a period of significant growth, they are looking to hire a Head of BESS to lead the development of their BESS strategy.
Responsibilities
- Development of the BESS strategy
- Responsible for the development, planning and approvement of BESS projects
- Establish and improve project management standards, processes, and governance structures.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and grid connection teams.
- Support strategic planning and resource allocation across the project pipeline.
Requirements
- 5-8 years experience in the development and implementation of Renewable Energy projects.
- Proven experience of BESS projects
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering)
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, risks, and contractual obligations.
- Strong German and English language skills.
