Overview

In this role you will own operational finance for our Ulm manufacturing site while based in the Wiesbaden hub. You will lead a small finance team, partner with site leadership, and ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance processes. You will manage end-to-end accounting, close cycles, and maintain financial integrity across multiple entities. This position offers visible, high-impact work with broad exposure to accounting, tax, and operational finance across sites.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Lead daily accounting operations and ensure accurate postings
  • Own month-end and year-end close, delivering on time and to a high standard
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and open item resolution
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting; collaborate with external payroll/advisors
  • Lead audit preparation and coordination; deliver year-end reporting packs
  • Develop and coach a finance team of three; allocate tasks across AP, AR, and accounting
  • Drive system and process improvements (DATEV focus) to increase efficiency and controls
  • Handle complex or non-routine financial transactions as needed

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong expertise in German GAAP (HGB) and VAT
  • Proven track record in financial close and accounting operations
  • Experience with DATEV or similar systems
  • People management experience in a multi-site environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
