About our client
Our client is an international solar and battery storage group that designs and delivers projects across Europe. It has grown quickly and is expanding its engineering team in several markets.
The role
You will be the technical owner of PV projects from late development through to handover. You will design the plant, bring in the civil, mechanical and hydrology specialists, and keep the whole project on track for technical quality, schedule and budget.
What you will do
- Own the project from late development, through procurement and construction, to commissioning and handover
- Lead the electrical design of PV plants, including layouts, single line diagrams, cable and equipment sizing and grid connection requirements
- Coordinate civil, mechanical and hydrology specialists, review their work and bring it together into one coherent design
- Manage technical interfaces with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and grid operators
- Track technical risks, schedule and budget, and escalate early when something needs a decision
- Support commissioning and handover, including documentation and snag resolution
What we are looking for
- A strong electrical engineering background
- Experience managing whole projects, from late development to handover
- A good working understanding of civil, mechanical and hydrology disciplines where you can answer questions and own the outcome, without needing to be an expert in each.
- Confident working with specialists and subcontractors across disciplines
- Fluent English. German or Spanish is helpful depending on location
