Job Title: UH‑60 Aircraft Mechanic II (A&P or FCC)

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and inspections on UH‑60A/L/M systems to FAA standards.
  • Execute assembly, modification, and checkout of major aircraft assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components across Army and other DoD cross‑service aircraft.
  • Install, connect, and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission; align fuselage parts; balance, align, and install tail‑rotor assemblies; rig flight‑control systems.
  • Integrate authorized modifications and changes into the aircraft.
  • Conduct operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and powered ground equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and determine causes of malfunctions; disassemble to the point of trouble; adjust, repair, realign or replace defective components or assemblies.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring devices (gauges, torque wrenches, scales) and diagnostic equipment specific to UH‑60 models.
  • Read, apply, and interpret technical data and maintenance documentation.
  • Direct lower‑graded mechanics in assembly, modification, and checkout; coordinate with general mechanics and sheet‑metal trades to ensure proper sequence of the aircraft‑assembly process.
  • Prepare and maintain forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license with at least two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience, and two (2) years on the UH‑60 MDS within the five most recent years; OR FCC license with Elements 1 and 3, three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary‑wing experience, and two years on the UH‑60 MDS.
  • US citizenship with a valid US passport to obtain a US Government Security Clearance; must qualify for NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance.
  • Able to obtain and maintain TESA approval for deployment to Germany (German government), with five years of career‑total aviation maintenance experience.
  • Physical ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in uncomfortable positions; may lift up to 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide.

Compensation

Estimated hourly rate: $25.00 (good‑faith estimate; actual pay may vary).

Travel & Deployment

Travel as required in support of task orders. Must be immediately deployable worldwide. Valid US passport required for deployments to Germany. Must acquire necessary TESA clearance and maintain NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, and crouch routinely.
  • Lift parts and equipment up to 20 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
