Overview
In this role you lead and develop the infrastructure and operations team to deliver reliable core services across on-premises and cloud. You partner with CIO and senior tech leaders to drive resilience, modernization, and AI-enabled improvements in a regulated finance environment. You steer external providers, governance, and vendor performance while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical influence. You will shape cloud and automation initiatives and help create a high-performance culture focused on service quality and continuous improvement. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of technology, risk, and business outcomes.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead, coach and develop the infrastructure and operations team to foster high performance
- Oversee day-to-day delivery and stability of core infrastructure across on-premise and cloud
- Act as escalation point for complex technical and operational challenges
- Ensure operational resilience, service availability and continuous improvement
- Manage outsourced providers and governance, including vendor performance and contract oversight
- Own operational KPIs, service metrics and regulatory expectations
- Support capacity planning, lifecycle management and modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with CIO and architecture, security, and technology leadership teams
- Contribute to cloud and infrastructure transformation with automation and AI-enabled capabilities
- Balance strategic leadership with challenging technical solutions and critical decision-making
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Several years of experience leading infrastructure, operations or platform engineering teams
- Strong people management skills with sufficient technical depth
- Experience in heavily regulated industries (financial services, energy or pharmaceuticals)
- Hands-on knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), enterprise storage, data centers, backup and recovery, vulnerability and patch management, and Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure)
- Experience with outsourced service providers and vendor governance
- Comfortable in dynamic, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and driving change
- Fluent English; German is advantageous
- Willingness to be present in Frankfurt office 3x per week
