Our client is a well-established Swiss financial institution with a strong reputation in wealth management and private banking.
As part of its continued growth ambitions, the bank is seeking an experienced Head of Private Banking Zurich to lead and further develop its Zurich-based private banking business. This opportunity combines business development, team leadership, and market representation within an entrepreneurial and client-focused environment.
Job Description
- Lead and develop the Private Banking franchise in Zurich.
- Acquire, develop and manage relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients.
- Generate sustainable Net New Money and increase assets under management.
- Build long-term relationships with entrepreneurs, business owners, families, family offices and professional intermediaries.
- Manage and coach a local team of private banking professionals and support staff.
- Collaborate with internal specialists across investments, lending and wealth structuring solutions.
- Represent the bank within the Zurich business and wealth management community.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and commercial development of the regional business.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management or a closely related environment.
- Proven track record in acquiring and developing HNW/UHNW client relationships.
- Strong network within the Zurich market, including entrepreneurs, executives, family offices, trustees, lawyers and other centres of influence.
- Demonstrable history of generating Net New Money and growing client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of investment solutions, wealth planning and financing structures.
- Previous leadership or team management experience is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and drive commercial results.
- Fluent German and English; fluency in French is ideal; additional languages are considered an asset.
