PALFINGER stands for the most innovative, reliable and economical lifting solutions that are used in commercial vehicles, rail vehicles, bridge inspection devices and in the maritime sector. To strengthen our team we are looking for a Transformation Program Manager (f/m/d).
The Transformation Program Manager (f/m/d) works closely with Management and teams in different functions where PALFINGER identified further upside potential and/or in PALFINGER required minimum margins are not yet met.
Location: Bergheim with high willingness to travel internationally to our local facilities (up to 70%)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a Transformation Program Manager (f/m/d), you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements across PALFINGER product lines, with different responsibility in leading workstreams and supporting team members in delivering outstanding results. The team increasingly works on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional situations so it is likely that there will be opportunities to work on large and exciting cases in conjunction with colleagues worldwide. The nature of work that you will get involved in, may include managing specific workstreams on improvement programmes on a day-to-day basis, including:
  • Member of the global restructuring and implementation team, who drives translation of strategy into a tangible implementation program and runs restructuring programs.
  • Supports global implementation team transform the given strategy into tangible implementation measures and plan.
  • Responsible to ensure effective communication, deployment of strategy and targets within PALFINGER organization to achieve proactive implementation support within the organization.
  • Maintains Transformation program roadmap, budget and supports prioritization of resources and manages the bi-weekly SteCo meetings to achieve fast decision-making processes.
  • Together with the global implementation team, the program manager defines the program goals and breaks them down into individual project goals to be implemented by the regional management
  • Controls and evaluates the performance of all initiatives / projects assigned to the program.
  • Drives organizational development (aligns leadership team, actively support for changes in structural / process organization, facilitates workshops, initiates coaching etc.).
  • Is responsible for both external and internal program communication and the Stakeholder Management.
  • Fosters talents, develop the program team to become strong and effective.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a senior management role with more than 10 years hands on experience and proven track record to manage global programs / projects
  • Ability to conduct business in fluent oral and written English is a pre-requisite
  • Financial restructuring / performance improvement experience
  • Experience in building-up, transforming and leading an organization effectively and efficiently, knows how to contribute through others and leverage teams
  • Strategic thinker, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, sound business acumen which helps teams to translate vision to strategy and drive strategy to execution
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, manage conflicts, build consensus, and communicate priorities and expectations
  • Flexible and pragmatic personality with drive, operates well in intercultural environment, who can build bridges, not discouraged by strong headwinds
  • Delivers exceptional service in projects dedicated to him internally; maximizes results and drives high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders
  • Strong networker, who understands how to persuade peers and stakeholders, able to develop valuable long-term partnerships
  • Strong communicator, knows how to translate, communicate, and disseminate complex issues to different target audiences from board level to the shopfloor
  • Experience in supporting complex change projects in an international corporate environment
