We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a major data centre project in Germany, focusing on the diesel generator and critical power scope. The role will oversee HSE activities throughout installation, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning, working closely with the project, construction, commissioning and client teams.

Duration:12 Months + extensions
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HSE activities across the diesel generator and critical power scope.
- Develop and review RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.
- Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, generator installation, fuel systems, electrical works, energisation and load-bank testing.
- Support Level 1–4 commissioning and integrated testing.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks.
- Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure corrective actions are closed.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and maintain accurate HSE documentation.
- Provide regular HSE updates to the Project Manager and client.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HSE Manager / HSE Lead / HSE Engineer on major construction or data centre projects.
- Experience within data centres, critical infrastructure or power generation.
- Experience with diesel generators and commissioning activities is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of RAMS, risk assessments, LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical construction risks.
- Relevant HSE qualification; NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent advantageous.
- Experience working within German HSE regulations and site requirements would be highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within an international project environment.
