Job Title: Waste Operations Manager

Contract: 6 Months (Inside IR35)

Location: South West (Local Authority) – Predominantly Onsite

Panoramic Associates is proud to be working exclusively with a Local Authority in the South West to appoint an experienced Waste Operations Manager on an interim basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day management and supervision of Waste Operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of refuse, recycling, and garden waste services in compliance with all statutory and legal obligations.

• Direct and manage a team of Supervisors, providing leadership and support to maintain a motivated, high-performing workforce.

• Oversee the performance management of Supervisors to ensure delivery of service objectives and optimal value for money.

• Manage the commercial waste collection service, identifying opportunities to enhance its financial contribution.

• Take responsibility for the Council\’s vehicle and equipment fleet, ensuring it is safe, compliant, and cost-effective. This includes coordinating procurement, maintenance, and disposal in line with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
