pRED\'s Pharmaceutical Sciences (PS) group enables discovery and development of safe and effective therapeutics at optimal doses in relevant populations with a vision to power translation, continuously improve the accuracy of our predictions and accelerate the development of tomorrow\'s medicines. PS supports discovery and development across the whole value chain from target assessment to on-market and beyond.

In the Translational PKPD and Clinical Pharmacology chapter, our purpose is to select the right drug to deliver the right dose and dosing schedule to patients to provide a meaningful benefit through strong collaboration, strategic thinking and regulatory and scientific excellence.

The Opportunity

As Neuroscience (NRD) Clinical Pharmacology subchapter leader for the clinical pharmacologists, you oversee the therapeutic area from end to end with a strategic and systems view, and ensure the functional excellence of the deliverables as well as the people leadership. Interacting with key stakeholders is part of your core competencies, as are excellent communication skills. This leadership role is embedded in the Translational PKPD and Clinical Pharmacology chapter, where key contributions to programs are provided from pre-target assessment to established products.

• Line management responsibilities in line with P&C practices to promote development, performance, balanced resourcing and well-being of the colleagues.

• Collaborate and lead elements of Pharmaceutical Sciences strategy and TPCP goals.

• Enable feedback loops from later stages of development to earlier phases.

• Identify gaps and improve operations and efficiencies.

• Enable fair and transparent resourcing with strategic use of available resources.

• Delegate responsibilities strategically and transparently to chapter members.

• Maintain transparency on delegated roles, peer reviews, collaborations, and outsourced activities

Functional Excellence

• Build and maintain regulatory and scientific excellence within the chapter

• Integrate a system of peer review and discussion culture

• Expand a network externally to promote the group as a world-leading organization

Who you are

• You bring a PharmD, MD or PhD in an area relevant to clinical pharmacology

• You have more than 15 years of experience in clinical pharmacology with therapeutic experience in leading clinical pharmacology in Neuroscience or Neurology

• You have strong communication skills and experience in leadership with an ability to effectively work with health authorities.

• You understand and have experience with the majority of clinical pharmacology components, as well as some filing experience.

• You have solid experience in regulatory interactions with examples of health authority interactions that led to innovative ways of approaching clinical drug development.

• You have a track record of leadership of teams displaying VACC leadership styles, with references from those who have experienced the effect of your leadership skills. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, emotional intelligence, and team spirit.

• You can sense gaps in operational systems and develop sustainable solutions.
