Junior Integration Engineer // Data Engineer

Tasks

At Paretos, you will be part of the customer integration team that sets up the use-case of our customers based on our powerful & standardized cloud platform. You will work in a cross-skilled team together with other engineers, customer success managers and data analysts/scientists to bridge the gap between the customers‘ data and processes and the Paretos product. On the mission to help businesses to get reliable and matching predictions and recommendations from Paretos, you will be responsible for:

• Writing SQL transformations in dbt for our Snowflake database to automate the data transformation that maps the customer’s data to our standard data schemas
• Implementing custom pre-and post-processing in dbt and Python to maximize the value for the customer and minimize the time-to-value of our onboarding
• Analyzing customer data for issues (supported by our platform)
• Setting up and monitoring our automated data pipelines, which do the ELT steps, trigger our forecasting and recommendation modules and publish results
• Working together with diverse and motivated teams to create concepts on how our integration can be brought to the next level and how we can scale the approach in the future
• Applying best practices for agile development, including clean code, testing and code reviews to our customer-specific implementations

Requirements

Graduate degree in Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science , or a related technical field

• Practical experience in SQL / relational databases (Experience with dbt is a plus)
• Practical experience with Python
• Practical experience in working with GIT
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts
• Knowledge in infrastructure technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• You are used to working autonomously and self-determined
• Fluent in English , German speaking is a plus
• Understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Science, Optimization or Business Rules is a plus
