Transportation Manager EMEA DC & VAC (m/w/d) in Bielefeld

Your responsibilities

• Leadership for Transportation and Logistics within EMEA Supply Chain with focus on optimizing in- and outbound transportation flows for European and Regional Distribution Centers, carrier performance, shipping locations and cost efficiency

• Key contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing operational support, business reviews, reporting, audits and root causes analysis for transportation-related topics

• Develop, align and implement cost optimization/saving initiatives with relevant stakeholders

• Strategic development of business area in close collaboration with internal and external partners

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools including process optimization, standardization, and implementation of new solutions

• Lead of projects and kaizen activities across EMEA Supply Chain

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related qualification

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in Transportation or Logistics including carrier management

• Very good system and process knowledge, supported by strong analytical skills

• Innovative mindset with the ability to apply and promote lean enterprise principles and practices

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with internal and external contacts

• Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented working style

• Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
