At ParTec AG, we design, build, and support purpose-built heterogeneous supercomputer solutions for science using our modular supercomputing architecture approach. As a hardware-agnostic system provider, we work closely with leading technology vendors in the field. For building some of the largest and most complex supercomputers in Europe, we integrate a broad range of products and compute technologies of different origin and maturity level into total system solutions using our ParaStation Modulo software suite. We are expanding our business activities around High-Performance Computing and Quantum Computing and are looking for a HPC/QC Sales Specialist Junior.
JOB SUMMARY
This is a key role for ParTec's new strategic direction of developing, selling, and supporting quantum computers ideally integrated into HPC systems. As part of the ParTec Sales team, the Sales Specialist for HPC/QC is responsible for leading strategy and execution to drive opportunities and solutions in the market of High Performance and Quantum Computing. The successful candidate will focus on end users sales of ParTec's complete portfolio of offerings, working in close relationship with the ParTec team as well as our technology partners and suppliers. In addition to developing strong customer relationships, we expect the successful candidate to quickly establish relationships with the internal organisations such as engineering, marketing, service and operations, to exceed customer expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively pursue net-new business opportunities in HPC/QC with prospecting into existing accounts and new business prospects, working closely with the Presales Engineers and Sales Management to ensure that objectives are being met.
- Accurately forecast pipeline opportunities through SalesForce.com and participate in regular funnel calls with peers.
- Create focussed account plans of developing and nurturing HPC/QC opportunities to drive and meet revenue targets.
- Manage tender (RFI, RFQ, and RFP) processes with the dedicated bid manager.
- Collaborate with business alliance partners to expand the reach of our products and services.
- Utilise consultative, solution-based selling techniques to identify opportunities for ParTec's broad portfolio of HPC and Quantum Computing solutions.
- Manage business reviews and customer satisfaction activities.
- Represent both, the voice of the customer to ParTec and the voice of ParTec to the customer, as required to resolve issues and attain revenue goals.
- Act as a central point of escalation for customer concerns as well as technical or supply chain issues, and drive resolution.
- Contribute to ParTec's business strategy in HPC and Quantum Computing by analysing the development of the relevant market and its funding.
- Provide analysis of customers and market demands in the field of HPC, hybrid and quantum computing to ParTec's product management for adapting ParTec's products to current and future market requirements.
Required skills & experience
- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field as e.g. physics, mathematics, informatics, etc.
- 2+ years of sales or presales experience in HPC, Quantum Computing, or related field.
- Proven track record of overachieving quota in a sales capacity role with a consultative or solutions selling approach is a plus.
- Customer-focussed as well as positive, can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Exceptional organisation skills, time management techniques, and ability to prioritise and multi-task.
- Team player with the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment, internally across organisational boundaries as well as externally with business partners and suppliers to meet customer needs.
- High degree of honesty, integrity, and sound judgement.
- Industry account experience is a plus.
- Fluent use (written & spoken) of English is required.
- Understanding and proficient usage of additional languages is a plus.
JOB CONDITIONS
- Country should be Germany, Austria or Switzerland. German knowledge is mandatory.
- Flexible work hours, flexible workplace including home office.
- Office environment available at our German headquarter in Munich.
- Regular to frequent travels.
