We are looking for an Intern to join our Private Equity team for 6 months starting July 2025. The workload will be mainly split between:
Investments
- Support the European Goods & Products Private Equity Buyout team on all aspects related to investment processes (from sourcing to closing).
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on investment opportunities and market research, including company valuation and commercial assessment.
- Be part of the investment team, engaged in the whole process of a transaction, and get first-hand exposure to investment decision making of a global leader in private equity investments, including attendance of Partners Group’s Investment Committee.
- Support our thematic research efforts within the Goods & Products team (covering the consumer and industrials sectors) from idea generation to sector deep-dives. You will get the opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge around the key trends shaping the future of business for the next 5-10 years.
- Create market models, analyze market drivers and threats; research companies and strategic positioning of large private firms, understand what strategic steps make companies more and less valuable.
What we expect
- Students in the final phase of their study or who recently graduated from a top university with outstanding academic credentials.
- Prior internship experience in Private Equity/Debt, Investment Banking (M&A/Leveraged Finance) or Consulting is preferred.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a strong desire to learn and succeed; collaborative team-player attitude.
- Proficiency in English and the right to work in Europe; proficiency in German is not required.
