What it\’s about
In this position you will be part of the Private Wealth Client Solutions team in the Partners Group headquarter in Zug. As a wholesale Private Markets salesperson you will be responsible for building new and broadening existing relationships with private wealth distribution channels primarily in Switzerland. This position includes managing existing and developing new relationships and fundraising opportunities in the region and demands a high degree of collaboration with the global Partners Group team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing relationships with existing and new Private Wealth partners such as global/regional/local banks and asset managers.
- Sourcing and leading distribution projects and product initiatives, coordinating day-to-day interactions across open-ended and closed-ended funds.
- Mapping out investor landscape, planning and undertaking regular cold call campaigns.
- Understanding and presenting the full range of Partners Group\’s solutions to partner organizations including operational and regulatory features of a product/project.
- Supporting the team with strategic distribution projects across open-ended and closed-ended funds as well as in day-to-day tasks.
- Working closely with Partners Group\’s private wealth teams (portfolio solutions, structuring).
- Becoming an expert in private markets and Partners Group\’s platform, products and investment strategies across asset classes.
- Understanding key competitors\‘ offerings and knowing how to best position Partners Group\’s solutions.
- Creating tailored, persuasive and high-quality marketing materials and responses to client requests, assisting with queries, and performance updates.
- Being involved front to back in the client journey from client contract negotiations, client onboarding, including CDD and KYC, and relationship management.
What we expect
The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the private wealth industry, and 5-8 years of experience in working with GPs and/or distribution partners. For this position we are looking for someone who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization and possesses strong networking & organization skills.
The successful candidate should have the following profile:
- Bachelor\’s degree (MBA, Master\’s and/or CFA preferred) with strong academic background in finance, accounting, economics or a relevant discipline.
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience (preferably in private markets industry) in business development, consulting, sales & marketing, relationship management.
- Previous experience within the fund selection and institutional sales departments in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Private Markets, is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and identifying/converting new clients with a track record of fundraising success.
- Familiarity with alternatives with a focus on semi-liquid products, mutual funds and close-ended products would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in business English and German – both written and verbal; other languages such as French or Italian are beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate in a polished, professional manner.
- Attention to detail, extremely organized, and commitment to excellence. Able to problem solve with a client-focused mindset.
