About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious, self-driven individual based in Munich, who wants to be a part of a huge success story. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Payhawk, you’ll generate new leads and business opportunities for the DACH market, playing a pivotal role in shaping our success. As a BDR, you’ll be the first to introduce our platform to potential customers, building relationships and driving pipeline opportunities for our Account Executives. You’ll receive the tools and coaching needed to thrive in a dynamic environment, and your success will be recognised and rewarded through competitive financial incentives and clear career progression. Responsibilities

  1. Take ownership of your outbound prospecting campaigns, using a mix of outreach strategies—such as emails, calls, social selling, and events—to engage prospective clients.
  2. Collaborate closely with a high-performing Account Executive team in the Berlin office, executing targeted prospecting strategies to create high-value opportunities.
  3. Leverage marketing-led demand generation campaigns, identifying and following up with prospects to build relationships and generate leads.
  4. Build a strong sales pipeline for the DACH market, specifically targeting companies with over 200 employees that fit our Ideal Customer Profile.
  5. Proactively identify new niches and create innovative campaign ideas to continuously improve outreach.
  6. Analyse your outreach efforts and campaign results to draw insights and refine future strategies.
  7. Manage a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring consistent coverage to exceed monthly targets and drive sustainable growth.

Qualities of a successful BDR at Payhawk

  1. Strong communication skills in German (C1/2C2) and English on a professional level (company language).
  2. Driven and inspired to exceed sales targets and quickly progress career.
  3. Motivated to make an impact and see your actions add value.
  4. Resilient with a growth mindset – seek challenge in rejection.
  5. Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  7. Recent experience in a sales or customer facing background is a plus.
  8. Basic knowledge of SaaS or Fintech industry is a plus.
