The Role
As a CAD designer for building automation, you support our project teams in the technical planning and documentation of automation and control projects.
You prepare circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, distribution board overviews and as-built documentation, ensuring that technical documents are clean, traceable and structured to project requirements.
The focus is on building automation, MSR (BMS) technology, control cabinets, field devices, data points, interfaces to electrical engineering and HVAC & plumbing, as well as close collaboration with project management, specialist planning and site execution.

Your Responsibilities
CAD Design and Technical Planning
- Preparation of circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams and distribution board overviews with WSCAD
- Working on automation and control projects in the field of building automation / MSR (BMS)
- Design and documentation of control cabinets, field devices and technical interfaces
- Support in developing functional areas, data points and plant structures
- Maintaining and updating technical planning documents throughout the project
Project Support and Coordination
- Close collaboration with project management, specialist planning and site supervision
- Support in the technical planning and documentation of MSR/BA projects
- Coordinating technical content with internal and external project stakeholders
- Managing project data, drawings and technical documents
- Support with surveys, as-built records and revision documentation
Documentation and Quality
- Preparation of as-built documentation after project completion
- Reviewing and maintaining drawing revisions, technical specifications and project documents
- Ensuring clean, structured and traceable documentation
- Support with acceptance tests, commissioning and project close-outs
- Contributing to consistent standards for CAD and project documentation
Your Profile
Professional Qualifications
- Training as a technical draughtsperson, technical systems planner, CAD designer or a comparable qualification
- Sound knowledge of WSCAD and RXX
- Technical understanding in the field of building automation, MSR or electrical engineering
- Experience with circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, control cabinet documentation and technical documents
- Basic knowledge of building services (MEP) an advantage
- Initial professional experience in comparable projects desirable
