Do you enjoy tackling complex problems, asking questions, and understanding the why before jumping into design? We're looking for an experienced Product Designer who knows UX inside out, enjoys hands‑on design, and is curious about new technologies.
At Peerigon, we build sophisticated software, explore new ways of working, and bring design and development closer together. We're looking for someone who's excited to shape how we work and turn complex requirements into thoughtful digital products.
What we're looking for
- Experience & ownership: Several years of experience in digital product design, ideally with complex web applications. You take ownership, work reliably, and make pragmatic decisions within project timelines and budgets.
- Analytical thinking: You enjoy diving into unfamiliar topics, spotting connections, challenging assumptions, and turning open questions into clear next steps.
- UX expertise: You're experienced in UX research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing. You know which methods to use and when a quick prototype is more valuable than another workshop.
- Design skills: You create thoughtful, visually compelling interfaces and work confidently in Figma. Token‑based and component‑based design, interaction states, design systems, and accessibility are part of your everyday practice.
- Collaboration & communication: You enjoy working directly with clients, explaining design decisions, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders. You speak German at C1 level or above and have a good command of English.
- Curiosity & technical understanding: You're interested in new technologies, AI‑assisted workflows, and the technical side of software development. Experience with code or Git is a plus.
- Location: You're based in Augsburg or able to work from our Augsburg office at least once or twice a week.
- Working hours: At least 32 hours per week.
What you'll be doing
- Work on digital products from the initial idea through to implementation, taking ownership of UX concepts and effort estimates.
- Understand complex business processes, clarify requirements with stakeholders, and develop practical, well‑considered solutions.
- Create interaction concepts using user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to make ideas tangible and testable.
- Design interfaces with a systems mindset, using design tokens, reusable components, and clearly defined states. Evolve design systems in close collaboration with developers.
- Experiment with new tools and AI‑assisted workflows to explore ideas faster and improve the way we design and build software.
- Share knowledge, give constructive feedback, and help develop our design practice.
What you can expect from us
- Agile, collaborative software projects and a supportive team culture
- Challenging projects, including opportunities to work on meaningful products
- Genuinely flexible working hours and transparent time tracking
- Fair salaries, transparent contracts, and equal pay regardless of gender
- Flexible work arrangements, including working from home and workation opportunities
- Choose Your Own Device: use your MacBook for work and personal use
- 30 days of annual leave plus two extra days, parental leave, and sabbatical opportunities
- Weekly Move & Mind budget during working hours
- Generous learning budget for conferences, workshops, meetups, and tech talks
- JobRad bicycle leasing, including insurance
- Opportunities to share knowledge through talks, workshops, and articles
- Active participation in shaping the company, strategy days, and cross‑project knowledge sharing
