We are looking for a Quality Improvement Engineer to join our team in Crottendorf. In this role, you will develop and improve quality assurance programmes, quality plans, process procedures and controls that support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance across Peli Germany’s plant operations.

You will create, modify, analyse and review processes using statistical and lean manufacturing techniques; plan and perform product and process audits; oversee the disposition of nonconforming material and corrective actions; and lead continual improvement initiatives across all production lines, including Lean tools, training and standard work. By combining quality assurance engineering with continual improvement leadership, you will strengthen compliance and drive operational excellence across the plant.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and conduct QMS, product, process, Layered Process and 6S audits, and develop testing and inspection procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Manage nonconformities, MRB disposition and root-cause corrective actions, working with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues and support contract reviews.
  • Lead plant-wide continual improvement using Lean methods, training and mentoring, and manage improvement projects from scoping through implementation to measurable, sustained results.
  • Coordinate ISO Management Reviews and collaborate with Operations and Corporate Quality to align quality, environmental and safety improvements with plant KPIs.
  • Demonstrate positive problem-solving leadership, follow company policies and safety procedures, and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise in quality, industrial or manufacturing engineering; Lean Manufacturing emphasis preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, quality systems, process control, risk management and continual improvement.
  • Experience with NCR/CAR management, root-cause analysis, MRB disposition and Lean methods such as 6S, PDCA, visual workplace, mistake-proofing and standard work.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, technical drawings and GD&T, combined with strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience spanning quality engineering and continual improvement, with exposure to industrial engineering tools, Layered Process Audits, 6S programmes and ISO Management Reviews.
