Job Summary. The position of the GI Clinical Education Specialist is part of the EMEA Training & Education Team and reports to the Director Training & Education EMEA. The GI Clinical Education Specialist EMEA is responsible for providing expertise, clinical application knowledge and product support to facilitate EMEA GI clinical application specialists. Bringing the knowledge and skills of the clinical application specialists to a level that they can support the commercial organization in the commercialization and sale of PENTAX Medical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create e-learning content, delivered by Global Product Manager. Develop learning journeys on different knowledge levels to be used for both onboarding as well for continuous learning.
- Organize online and in person training sessions with subject matter experts to enhance knowledge on PENTAX Medical products with GI Clinical Application Specialists.
- Develop and deliver external (clinical professionals) and internal (sales teams) in person clinical application and product training.
- Carry out product demonstrations and provide clinical applications support for PENTAX Medical products at defined accounts, specifically to support key opinion leaders (KOLs), experts and advocates when they are involved in educational activities.
- Support of Professional Education training activities at educational partner institutes and programs (IRCAD – IHU – GIEQs - FORWARD Academy).
- Keep up to date with endoscope system product knowledge to maximize customer demonstration success and be able to provide effective advice on product performance, customize equipment to user needs
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and key customers
- Lead in organizing and supporting live demonstrations during international congresses and training courses
- Support sales teams during national and international scientific congresses and exhibitions by performing product demonstration and customer training
- Provide regular input about product performance, competitors’ products and strategies, customer feedback, market trends and sales arguments
- Support internal in-person training sessions (Foundation Training – Distributor Training).
Qualifications
Education
- A clinical or biomedical engineering background, preferably experience in flexible endoscopy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or related field preferred
Skills
- Should have prior experience as working as GI Clinical Applications Specialist or Product Manager in a medical device company or recent experience of working in a clinical department
- Experience of teaching in a clinical setting and confidence to present to groups of people
- Self motivated and able to work independently with a focus on achieving the objectives for the business
- Communication skills for regular information transfer and cross-functional teamwork in the organization
- Flexibility regarding extensive travel up to 60% across EMEA
Preferred Experience
- at least 3 years of experience in a commercial work environment preferably in a Training & Education or a Marketing department.
- Work experience in a company that sells medical devices preferably in the field of flexible endoscopy
