Job summary

A Technical Application Specialist is responsible for conducting high-quality product demonstrations.

They are also responsible for repairs, new product installations, maintenance, training, and corrective actions for products distributed by PENTAX Medical.

Furthermore, this role supports local and live events, incorporates valuable customer feedback into product marketing and development, and ensures smooth project execution through structured communication and organization.

The ideal candidate possesses in-depth technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrations: Preparation, execution and organization of GI product demonstrations and subsequent support of the Sales Account Manager via evaluated demo protocol.
  • Corrective actions: Performing technical interventions and repairs at the customer's site to resolve equipment problems.
  • Installations: Carrying out installations of products distributed by PENTAX Medical.
  • Preventive maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance visits to ensure the reliability of the equipment and compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshooting (corrective maintenance): Analysis, diagnosis and repair of technical malfunctions to reduce downtime and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Training: Conducting practical training courses for customers on the correct handling of the equipment as well as on reprocessing and operating procedures according to manufacturer specifications. (Operating instructions)
  • Event Support: Participation in and support of local events and live demonstrations
  • Support in monitoring service contracts and repair cost estimates and their cost-effectiveness/effectiveness, with subsequent recommendations for action directed to the Sales Account Manager.

Qualifications

• Education

Completed technical training or studies (e. g. electronics, medical technology, mechatronics or comparable fields) or equivalent, relevant professional experience.

Further degrees or certifications in healthcare or clinical applications are advantageous.

  • Preferred experience
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in technical field service or as an Application Specialist.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical technology or regulated industries is an advantage.
