This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with strong air export pricing and quoting experience who understands how to build competitive rates, work with airlines and carriers, and turn customer requirements into profitable, accurate quotations.
The primary focus of this position will be air freight pricing. You will be responsible for obtaining and negotiating rates, preparing customer quotations, and ensuring pricing is both competitive and commercially viable. You will work closely with customers, airlines, overseas offices, and internal operations teams to ensure quotes are produced accurately and quickly.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage air export pricing and quotation requests from customers and internal sales teams
- Obtain and negotiate competitive air freight rates with airlines, co-loaders, and other service providers
- Build accurate, customer-specific quotations based on shipment requirements
- Analyze freight costs, surcharges, fuel charges, handling fees, and other applicable charges
- Maintain and update airline and carrier rate information
- Compare multiple carrier options to identify the most competitive and profitable solutions
- Develop pricing strategies based on customer requirements, trade lanes, capacity, and market conditions
- Respond quickly to urgent and time-sensitive pricing requests
- Work closely with the sales team to support new business opportunities and existing accounts
- Provide guidance on routing, carrier selection, transit times, and pricing options
- Monitor market rates and identify opportunities to improve margins and competitiveness
- Ensure quotations are accurate, commercially sound, and delivered within agreed deadlines
- Maintain strong relationships with airlines, overseas offices, customers, and internal teams
- Assist with resolving pricing discrepancies and customer rate queries
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience within international freight forwarding
- Strong Air Export experience
- Proven experience specifically within freight pricing, rate negotiation, and quotation
- Strong knowledge of air freight rates, airline tariffs, surcharges, and routing
- Experience negotiating rates with airlines and/or freight providers
- Excellent understanding of international air freight processes
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of margins
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple pricing requests simultaneously
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience working with freight forwarding systems such as CargoWise is highly desirable
- Must be based on the US West Coast / PST Time Zone
