Field Technical Expert – EV DC Fast Charging

Responsibilities:

1. Apply OEM power supply market knowledge to provide technical expertise for EV charging applications.
2. Support technical sales efforts and assist in identifying and qualifying new opportunities.
3. Serve as a customer advocate, communicating their needs and concerns to executive management.
4. Train field sales teams, including representatives and distributors.
5. Collaborate with product management to develop and present product roadmaps, and provide feedback.
6. Stay informed about market trends, competitive actions, and customer needs.
7. Develop technical requirements for new products, guide R&D, prepare documentation, and offer technical support.
8. Understand customer applications to identify new product features and performance needs.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. At least 5 years of experience in resolving technical issues and providing high-level customer support in battery charging, system integration, power systems, and control systems.
3. Basic knowledge of power electronics, including AC/DC and DC/DC topologies, and standard approaches in analog and power supply circuit design.
4. Willingness to travel at least 40% of the time.
5. Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
6. Experience with CRM tools such as SalesForce.com.
7. Experience with system-level solutions (e.g., cabinets, shelves, rectifiers, controllers).
8. Experience with embedded applications and the vehicle charging industry.
