Peraton is seeking a motivated Network Engineer / Network Monitoring Engineer to join our team supporting the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCCE).
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the network management software used by the RCCE.
Responsibilities include:
- Network Management & Software Support: Oversee and manage the network monitoring software suite, including Spectrum CAPC, NetFlow Analyzer, and JasperSoft Reporting. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the USAREUR network topology. Monitor network performance and implement advanced reporting solutions to improve network operations.
- Software Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform software upgrades, troubleshoot issues with the applications, collaborate with Linux administrators to optimize Linux-based systems, and ensure system security in line with STIG requirements.
- User Support & Training: Assist users in operating network management tools and conduct training sessions twice a month for approximately 500 users.
- Additional Skills: Opportunity to work with Linux, Python, Ansible, and gain exposure to VMware environments. Experience with SharePoint administration, Windows, and Linux server management is advantageous.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor\’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or an Associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Experience with network or performance monitoring software such as SolarWinds, SNMPc, Spectrum, or similar platforms.
- Certifications: Must hold an active DoD 8140-approved certification for DCWF job code 451 (e.g., CASP, CCNP Security, ISC2 CCSP). Candidates should obtain within 6 months of hire one of the following: Cisco CCNA, Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist, or Broadcom Spectrum certification.
Additional Requirements: U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher are mandatory.

Salary Range
$86,000 to $138,000, based on experience and other factors.
