Our customer is one of the largest passenger train manufacturers in the world. The products of our customer include all types of passenger railway vehicles from high-speed trains, Maglev, intercity trains, to metro, tram-trains, light rail vehicles, etc. In order to expand the research team in Aachen, Germany, the company is looking for a talent with extensive experience in running dynamics to join and assist the team leader in managing the team.
Job Description:
- Conduct dynamics analysis and simulation using commercial software or in-house tools.
- Establish work processes for dynamics analysis and simulation.
- Support the project team with regards to the EU homologation of the company’s railway products, in the aspect of technology.
- Mentor younger engineers in the dynamics team.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or relevant majors.
- No less than 5 years of experience as an engineer in the railway industry.
- Capable of using software such as SIMPACK, Matlab, Hypermesh, etc.
- Successful references regarding running dynamics simulation of high-speed trains, metro, tram-train, etc., familiar with rail-wheel contact, articulated train dynamics, and gauging.
- Deep knowledge regarding EN 14363, BOStrab, VDV 152, etc.
- Capable of conducting projects independently.
- Deep knowledge and recognized references regarding TSI of dynamics.
- Knowledge regarding structure, CFD, and aerodynamics would be a plus.
