Excavator operator (m/f/d) in Bremen

Responsibilities

• You operate the excavator and safely load rubble, waste and building materials onto lorries
• You use the excavator to distribute bulk materials evenly across the site and level them according to specifications
• You compact bulk materials professionally to create a load-bearing and level sub-base
• Before starting work, you check the excavator for operational safety and report any faults immediately
• You secure and cordon off the construction site to ensure there is no danger to people or traffic
• You support the team with manual tasks on the construction site
• When loading and unloading, you work closely with the lorry drivers and instruct them where necessary
• You must comply at all times with the applicable health and safety regulations and the site management’s instructions
• You must ensure that the machine and the work site are kept clean and tidy
• You handle the machine safely and carefully and consistently adhere to work and safety regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a construction machinery operator (m/f/d), road builder (m/f/d) or civil engineering technician (m/f/d)
• You have experience in operating excavators
• We require you to be available for shift work
• You are medically fit and able to work at heights, do not require insulin and do not have a pacemaker
• You are physically resilient and enjoy getting stuck in with manual tasks on the building site
• You are a team player and communicate clearly
• You have a basic spoken knowledge of German (minimum level)
• A valid work permit is required
