Phare's team in Germany works with client data that has to stay in secure, well-run systems, and every new colleague needs a working laptop and accounts on the first morning. The IT Support Engineer looks after both: devices, Microsoft 365 accounts and the everyday problems that stop people working. The job is full-time from home anywhere in Germany. Our leadership is in Miami, six hours behind, so you handle the German working day on your own.
The Work Itself
• Answer support tickets from colleagues in Germany by chat, phone and remote session.
• Set up, ship and recover laptops, with encryption and backups.
• Create users and manage licences and multi-factor sign-in in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Manage devices and updates in Intune.
• Set up access to the secure folders where client data is kept, and remove it when projects end.
• Write short guides for the questions that come up most.
You'll Need
- Vocational training as a Fachinformatiker or a degree in IT, or comparable experience
- A year or more in IT support or service desk work.
- Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 administration
nice to have
- Intune or another device management tool
- macOS
- Experience with data protection rules (GDPR) in daily IT work
